Towards Human-Level Intelligence
AI-podden with Neil Lawrence, Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge.
Neil Lawrence is the inaugural DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge, Senior AI Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute, visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield and the co-host of the podcast Talking Machines.
In this episode, Neil Lawrence and Ather Gattami discuss the possibilities and limitations with the state of the art methodologies to build Artificial Intelligence. Neil and Ather discuss examples such as autonomous driving, where we are today, what the main challenges are, and when autonomous vehicles might be seen in our streets.
Neil digs deeper into data and intelligence and reasons around how much data is needed to build human-like intelligence. We also discuss the question of how much we need to transfer of the information programmed in our genes to computers in order for the computers to act like humans.
